I'm taking control of this life
Shaping beyond our pretension
Let it sync
Let it resonate
I'm taking control of this life
Shaping beyond our pretension
Let it sync
Let it resonate
My eyes adjust to the room
Where I find myself completely enveloped,
searching for any way out of my head
The form of our world, the steps taken on our land
Are they signs that always lead me through, they lead me through
Or am I cursed following the steps I track
A life I found to remember
Walking the distance closer to the edge
As we feel calm and composed
While the visions reveal our state of mind
I extend as far as I can see
Seeking strength in the ability
I extend as far as I can see
Seeking strength in the ability
I'm taking control of this life and making it my own
I'm taking control of this life and making it my own
I select Matches as my favorite song because it literally makes me scream along. I've had this album on repeat for months. The Northern has this loving and vivid image that punches you in the face and pulls you into their emotionally laden story. These all feel like songs I've literally lived in my life and I know them all intimately. Solstice is an amazing piece of my inner reality and I need more of The Northern. Melodic, great synth, well written lyrics, brutal and addictively groovy. zansatsu0
At first I wasn't so sure about getting this one, it was part of a long list of music I had to listen to, and I knew that at the time I liked it and kept it in my list to buy for a reason but couldn't remember why, but I do remember now, this is way too intense to be forgotten, you made a new fan to this day and will follow you closely from now on! Real powerful drums and punchy guitar leads, interlaced with lovely atmospheric piano.
This is basically a more melodic Disarmonia Mundi. Worth every second. dijim
